Third Grade

Third Grade students have been reading and discussing a very short story called, "The Wolf and the Lion". Although the story is very short (1/2 a page long) the students are finding that there is much to be discussed. They also are learning about some of the tools we use to help them with comprehension of vocabulary and literary elements. They have been working with 3 such tools called a vocabulary web, a literature web and a Journeys and Destination Matrix. Each of these has a different use for learning more about the meaning of the story. Ask your child to discuss them.
